How to auscultate the patient

You have to select different buttons to auscultate different parts of the patient’s body, as well as in different clinical environments.

For pulmonary auscultation in the Emergency Room*:
Select Physical Examination > Breathing > Pulmonary auscultation

To auscultate the back:
1. Select Poses > Sit on the bed
2. Select View > Circular arrows

For pulmonary auscultation in the Consultation office*:
Start by clicking on the Physical Examination or Interventions menu to enter the examination area.

To perform the auscultation you will need to first change the pose (sitting on the examination table). After that, you can click on “Physical Examination” > Breathing.

For back pulmonary auscultation, you need to change the pose to “Auscultation” and in the “Views” menu rotate the patient on the arrow icon. After that, you can click on “Physical Examination” > Breathing.

For heart auscultation**:
Select Physical Examination > Circulation > Heart auscultation

For abdominal auscultation**:
Select Physical Examination > Exposure > Abdominal auscultation

*At the moment, our simulator does not support auscultating when the patient’s bed is raised up (i.e: in fowler position).

**Heart and abdominal auscultation are only available in front view
