Learning Objectives are essential components of each Body Interact simulation that provide clear guidance on what learners should be able to achieve by the end of a patient scenario. They help define the educational purpose of each scenario and support both educators and learners in tracking progress.
Understand Scenario Learning Objectives
Types of Learning Objectives
Body Interact scenarios include two types of Learning Objectives, each playing a distinct role in shaping the educational experience:
- General Learning Objectives: These are broad and conceptual. They describe the overarching skills or knowledge that learners should develop after completing a scenario. Think of them as the big-picture takeaways from the simulation.
- Specific Learning Objectives: These are precise, measurable, and scenario-specific. They describe exactly what actions or decisions the learner should be able to perform, based on the clinical expectations of that particular scenario. These objectives are based only on first-priority actions.
Where to Find the Learning Objectives
You can access the list of Learning Objectives after completing a simulation by following these steps:
- Finish the scenario.
- Answer the End of Simulation Questions.
- Scroll past the Feedback Area to the Take-Home Message section. Here, you will find a complete list of Learning Objectives for the scenario.
Why You Might Not See Learning Objectives
If you are using a Learner account, the Learning Objectives will only become available once you complete the scenario successfully.
