Understand the Competencies

The competencies reflect what you were exposed to during the simulation, based on your actions and decisions. The set of competencies displayed are tailored to the learning objectives of each scenario.

The competencies are aligned with the frameworks of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education, developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Where to find them

You can access the list of Clinical Competencies after completing a simulation by following these steps:

  1. Finish the simulation.
  2. Answer the Post Simulation Questions.
  3. Scroll down the ‘Simulation Feedback‘ area to the Competencies section. Here, you will see the number of competencies you were exposed to while solving this scenario.
  4. Click on this number to see specifically the competencies you applied and the ones you did not.
