5.4 Interventions and Procedures

To defibrillate your patient in Body Interact, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Interventions menu.
2. Select Defibrillation.
3. Choose Biphasic defibrillator – sync OFF.
4. Select the appropriate joules.
5. After the defibrillator pads are placed on the patient, click the pink plus button to apply the shock.

Note that defibrillation may be unavailable if certain prerequisite actions need to be completed first. This includes correctly positioning the patient (e.g., laying them down) or removing the oxygen supply.
