Customize Scenario Features in Simulation Sessions

When creating a Simulation Session in BI Studio, educators can choose which features learners will have access to before, during, and after the simulation. This customization happens in Step 2: Scenario Features. To access this step:

  1. Log in to BI Studio.
  2. Go to the Sessions menu.
  3. Click the Create a Session button.
  4. In Step 1, select the scenarios you want to include.
  5. Proceed to Step 2: Scenario Features.

Here, you can enable or disable features for your learners.

Features You Can Customize

Before the Simulation

  • Sophia AI Assistant
An AI-powered assistant available to participants before the simulation begins.
Your access to this feature depends on your institution/entity current Body Interact licensing.
  • Learning Goals
Participants can review the scenario’s learning goals before starting. This helps them understand what they are expected to learn and achieve.
All institutions have access to this feature.

During the Simulation

  • Exam Reports
Allows participants to access exam reports during the simulation.
    All institutions have access.
  • Multiplayer
Enables multiple participants to join the same simulation session.
Your access to this feature depends on your institution/entity current Body Interact licensing.
  • AI Driven Conversations
Lets learners interact with virtual patients using natural language (typed or spoken).
    All institutions have access.
This is where you activate AI Driven Conversations for your students in Simulation Sessions.
  • In-Simulation Questions
Choose the type of questions participants will encounter:

    • Multiple-choice questions with answer verification
    • Multiple-choice questions without answer verification
    • Open-text questions with a recommended answer
    • Open-text questions without a recommended answer

After the Simulation

  • Feedback, Metrics, and Solutions
Control what participants see after completing the scenario:

    • Hide All: Participants will not see any performance metrics or feedback.
    • Display All: All feedback and performance metrics are shown, even if the participant doesn’t complete the simulation. (Default for Training sessions)
    • Display Feedback and Metrics (Not Solutions): Participants will only see their performance metrics, but will not see the scenario solution or missed actions. (Default for Evaluation and OSCE sessions)

All institutions have access to these options.
