If you have an Admin profile in your institution, you have the power to add new users, both Students and/or Teachers, to your BI Studio list. You can add users in two ways: one by one, or all at once with a bulk upload.
Add Students and Teachers - Admin
Method 1: Add Users Manually (One by One)
This method is perfect for adding a single student or teacher to your team.
- In the top right corner, click the Add User button.
- A pop-up window will appear. First, choose their Profile (Student or Teacher) from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the remaining details: First Name, Last Name, and Email.
- Click Add.
Method 2: Add Users in Bulk (with a CSV file)
This is the fastest way to upload an entire class or department at once.
- In the top right corner, click the Import Users button.
- A pop-up window will appear. First, select the Profile (Student or Teacher) for the batch of users you are uploading. You must use separate import files for each role.
- Download the .CSV Template: Click the button to download the template file. This will ensure your data is in the correct format.
- Fill in the Template: Open the .CSV file. Fill in the columns for Email and First and Last Name.
- Upload the File: Upload your completed .CSV file into the pop-up.
- Click Import. The system will process your file and add all the users to your list.
What Happens Next (A Crucial Step)
After you add a user (either manually or via bulk upload), they are not yet fully active and will appear in the “Non-registered Students” tab.
Here is the confirmation flow:
- The system automatically sends the new user an email with a registration request.
- If a user does not receive this email, you can manually resend it at any time. Go to the “Non-registered Students” tab and click the arrow icon next to their name.
- The user must open this email and click the link to confirm their account and fill in their details.
- Once they have confirmed, they will be moved to the “Registered” list and will be able to log in to the Body Interact app and access any assigned simulations sessions.
